Server Select doesn't show up

SO this glitch has happened to me a couple times before, where on the login screen after launching you can't select what world you want and it crashes basically. However, since yesterday it keeps happening no matter how many times i try. Last night i managed to log on once after like an hour of trying, and now i simply can't get on. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

EDIT: I tried looking for the game launcher, but i currently use steam and i don't think I have it. Is this commonly what happens if you are banned? If so, i have absolutely no clue why i would be banned
