Shade

Shade Life

Is shade life fun? I was just about to main my Jett cuz I realized that all my perm NX from explorers (Which is the only thing I play) is transferable BUT I hate being so squishy. I originally played and MM then a NL (NLs too expensive for me to main) but I'm looking for something with a bit more flashy umf.

I was thinking of maybe buying a few things for my shade (in the CS, like a pet of whatever) and I was wondering if you guys enjoy it for the long run!

I'm looking for a cheap, tanky, fast, mobile class which decent range considering I only really play ranged characters.

I'll probably start buy putting about 1bil into him right of the bat before I decide if I want to hardcore main him.

Shade life, my life?

EDIT: PS I've tried a DK twice, I deleted the first one and couldn't make it to 4th job the second time around because I got bored both times. Fyi
If you enjoy your Shade you should stick with that. It's an underappreciated class and its always nice to be a bit unique and not have the same class that all your friends have.
tbh i think they're a lot more common now, maybe not as much when they first came out, but if anything, i know more than a handful of "pro" shades, plus people still think they're relatively op. i don't think they're op, i just think they're extremely convenient and easy to boss with, given their general class structure. i'd say buccaneer is more unique than shade.
When it comes to Shade, you're either going to love it, or you're going to hate it. I love the class because it's uncomplicated and fits my very picky set of criteria of what I love in a class. I think that they really shine in a bossing situation, so you're probably going to enjoy them a lot more if bossing is what you prefer. But if it helps at all, I've been playing off and on for a little less than ten years now, and I only found the perfect class for me when Shade was released.
They also have one of the best character cards in the game, lol. I made a level 100 one for the sole purpose of getting that card.

Shade is fun if you liked buccaneer like I did. It's really good at bossing and okayish at mobbing if you're not funded. If you're funded then ofc you're gonna be op as pickles and kill everything 2mil2milnoclown.
But to be real it's a really fun class and honestly I was expecting much less from seeing kms videos before the release of Shade. After actually trying it and getting it to 200 it's a very fun class that keeps it simple with no buffs and a nice amount of mobility.

Shade's attacks are very colorful and flashy, but you're probably not looking forward to that. Just get +1 Weapon Speed or something (sorry, I'm new to this stuff) and you're set! Spirit Bind is really great, as with Soul Splitter, which grants you extra EXP if you kill both the original target and the soul.

(sorry if not good advice...)
I love playing Shade, I used to main quite a few characters before but none have been as fun as shade in my opinion. Like you said you wanted, shades are tanky, fast, mobile, good bossers, and have good range! Only thing I dislike is its mobbing, in a small area shades are pretty good with bomb punch but in places like SDH it gets a little tough having to back step all the time. Other than that 10/10. My favorite class hands down! Hope that answers a few questions!
I second this. Shade life is best life no questions asked!
