I haven't played for more than a year,and I think I saw on some thread something about how empress armor is available in some store
Is there some other way to get the equips besides killing cygnus now?

yeah much easier now since drops are instanced based.. if you dont already have the empress set just skip it and get the 150 set its pretty much the same price (well at least on scania it is)
You can buy it in the FM because there really cheap
