Finally Got Hacked
Well, I finally got hacked.... Im not gonna lie im pretty upset about it, as after 7 years of playing I finally managed to get my first char to level 200, get all link skills and get my range past 350k on my DB. I don't know if it a coincidence or not, but yesterday was my first day every buying a permit and overnight I was hacked.... May this have anything to do with it? Which kinda leads me to my main question.... How did I get hacked. Ive never given ANYONE my password, and never visit any malicious sites that could possibly have a keylogger, which is why im so shocked Well fair well maple and basil, you will be missed deeply :'(

for a very long time because he said ~In all honesty I dont think any of them would do that to me~

You sound very skeptical and do not trust the of others.
While I agree with you, human beings are greedy creatures who only care for themselves and don't give a damn about others, even when they are suffering right in front of them. But don't you think living that way is very tiring? Always suspecting your friends or someone close to you.

its really not hard to friend people on maple and make them assume your a good guy...
alot of maplers make money from the game by doing this that just happend to you...

Haha yea I skype with a few people from maple but only close friends.... In all honesty I dont think any of them would do that to me

You can't be hacked by simply having someone added on skype.

Got ninja'd but yea.... if your Maple password is the same as the password you use in every other site, the possibility of getting hacked is high.
Better start changing your password now, for all sites and check if the site is safe from heartbleed or not, there are plenty of tools to help you with that.
It'll be ok. I know it's near impossible to recover from something terrible like this; but sometimes you just gotta move on. Good luck bro.

I'm sorry about your loss man. I got hacked a fews years ago and I quit, but I hope you don't end up like me.
Here are a list of things to do before playing again:
1). Open window defense and take a full scan.
2). Uninstall ANY unwanted programs or useless toolbars,etc.
3). go to cnet and get a malware thing. and scan ur PC.

try downloading malwarebytes from a cnet site and run it.
you'll probably find something in the scan
have you shared your computer with somebody else? I don't know what to say.. sorry about your loss
