Observations about exp stacking

Ok well I'm one of those people who thought they knew what could and couldn't stack as far as exp multipliers go. Imagine my surprise when I actually do some grinding with exp modifiers and discover that a lot of things just don't work as they should.

I used an exp booster which should be equivalent to those 1.5x exp gift boxes in the fm along with an assortment of other buffs and potions. Here are my observations when killing at first drill hall:

*numbers are appriximations in the ballpark

1.5x exp booster only actually gives 0.5x or 50% when I assumed it would give 150%.
89k + 44k when I assumed it would be 89k + 133k

1.5x exp booster + star planet 2x buff
89k + 178k when I assumed it would be 89k + 267k
star planet 2x buff does not stack with anything at all except for maybe a 2x event I had known about this when star planet was released but forgot since it's been a while.

1.5x exp booster + enjoyable winter
89, + 110k when I assumed it would be 89k + 200k
this is an interesting one as it seems to be 1.25x only

I'm not sure if I just read the numbers were but I did do a double take on each of these observations. It seems that only the multiplicative portion is out of whack as all the additive stuff worked as intended such as exp accumulation potion, elvin blessing, zero card, pendant of the spirit, combo / multi kills, etc.

I'd like to hear from people who've done some testing themselves chime in and try to clear things up. It seems like exp boosters, exp gift box, and maybe tot's coupon is a waste of time in the current state of grinding unless we get normal 2x buffs like from the attendance.

Yeah I wish exp worked the way you thought but unfortunately 1.5x means 50% bonus and 2x means 100% bonus.

What's interesting though us if you have HS, enjoyable winter, and 2x exp then you'll gain a bonus of about 300k at Sdh. Not sure how the exp is working there. I also get like 110k exp bonus from just hs and enjoyable winter per kill.

The EXP buffs do work, you are just confusing yourself.
They separated them, look at what ChickenS0up said.

Example: When you kill a mob that normally gives 100 exp during a 2x Event you will see another line saying 100 exp and the total of this will be 200 exp (which is 2x). They used to have one line of EXP per killed mob.

1 mob killed with 2 exp lines vs 1 exp line

100 exp (from mob)
100 exp (from 2x exp) instead of 1 line that shows 200 exp (from mob and 2x exp)

A mob that gives 100 exp with a 1,5x EXP on will give half of 100 which is 50... total would be 150 exp.

100 exp (from mob)
50 exp (from 1,5x exp) instead of 1 line that shows 150 exp (from mob and 1.5x exp)

But the 1.5x from Tot's Know How might be glitchy, if it doesn't give you 1,5x, just simply enter Cash Shop or relog (not sure if changing channel fixes it) and you will receive the 1.5x.
____

In your first example your EXP rate would be nearly 2,5x and not 1,5x.
In your second example your EXP rate would be 4x instead of 3x (1,5x + 2x)
They sould just put the % of drop and exp we are on the stat tab.
you can stack 1 cash exp booster, 1 pot that gives a multiplicative amount, 1 pot that gives %, 1 etc item, and any number of equips (zeal ring, spec pendandt of spirit, pendant of spirit, any number of passive skills (3 bishops in a party, card from zero, merc link), and 1 buff from an active skill

1. exp booster 1.5x

89k (100% aka 1x)
+44.5k (exp booster, +50%)

total: 89k + 44k

2. exp booster 1.5x + star planet 2x buff:

89k (100%)
+44k (exp booster, +50%) + 44k (star planet, 100% of +44k)
+89k (star planet, +100%)

total: 89k + 178k

3. exp booster 1.5x + enjoyable winter 1.5x

89k (100%)
+44k (exp booster, +50%) + 22k (enjoyable winter, 50% of +44k)
+44k (enjoyable winter, +50%)

total: 89k + 110k

1.5x coupons and 2x coupons do not give you an additional 150% or 200% exp, they give 150% or 200% total exp, including the base 100%.

So essentially 1.5x coupons give you 50% bonus (100% base + 50% bonus = 150%), likewise for 2x coupons (100% base + 100% extra = 200%).
