soooo i just opened a new cygnus knight and it won't show up in my link skill character menu.... do i have to get a job first?

It should fix itself once you job advance.
also as i leveled it automatically increased my base str to 52... i didn't do anything how do i get those ability points back
Yes, you have to get your first job advancement
