In the game, ginti couldn't decide what to do with the girls soul, so he kept her around while he was deciding. He had already decided that Harada should be sent to the void.
@Hatchet but why couldn't he just have sent them both to be reincarnated. The way he made it sound... it was like one of them HAD to go to the void. o-o" I didn't get it. :C Pls halp.
I think it was because harada's soul was already in the void. Plus if they both got reincarnated, there is a chance that they won't be together considering each separate soul has to go to a separate body.
Why did Ginti send that annoying girl and Harada into the void?

I'm glad that someone else noticed Light.
Ginti didn't technically send Mayu to the void. She sent herself because she wanted to be with Harada. At the end of that scene you can see the two souls combine into 1 meaning that they are together forever. It's kind of bitter sweet
