So about extremely poor trollers
So Lately there has been a HUGE increase in people trying and failing to troll on Basil and Maple itself. And to the people recently on the Question to bandwagoners thread he wasnt from reddit. He's most likely some kid from 9gag trying to pass the fail troll off on reddit. Also If you're going to troll Actually put effort into it -.-" otherwise you're just making the site you hail from look bad. Now to my question How obvious and how many trolls would you say you've run into in lets say the past week?

People troll for their own entertainment, not for yours. If the troll is behind his computer screen laughing his ass off then he's a good troll as far as he's concerned. Your opinion is irrelevant.
If you're going to troll, don't make it obvious

Don't worry. By common standards, you are a "troll" if you start a topic, realise what you said was wrong, then say "haha I trolled u all~"
But yeah. On a forum like Basil, people are too uneducated to realise they're being trolled, and instead think that they are the troll because the can type "haha i troll u! olololol nub got trolled~".

Exactly. I love discussions and debating. There's so many times that I just completely win a discussion, yet the person I discussed with acts as if I'm an idiot who just got trolled and took it all too seriously. Luckily there's a few people on Basil still worth discussing with, otherwise I'd given up long ago.

Exactly. Or the fail trolls that start out a conversation then turn into a "HAHA I TROLLERZED U SO HARD 9GAG 4EVARRRRRRRRR" when they start to lose the argument or their opinion isnt popular.
Nowadays I go to basil, having to place in every comment "Not sure if this is a troll or not... but..." before I can actually post something. I don't know what thread is meant to be a joke any more. It's getting annoying. I mean, good trolls are always welcomed by me as they're hilarious. However it's getting out of hand. Every single comment nowadays can be a troll and a real discussion is just no longer an option :[.

That's because I stopped going on Basil for a week, and I just came on, and the first thread I saw was the "Question to bandwagoners" one.
Also, people on Basil think they can troll, but can't because ultimately, all they're just sore losers trying to pass off their failures as trolling. Trolling is the worst thing the internet has done. It's a scapegoat for idiots, because once they've realised that they have lost, all subsequent comments become "HASHASHSHHSAHAHAhahahahHAHAHAHAHA U GOT TROLLED!
