Would the dagger warrior be luk based? Or does a strength formula now apply
Yeah, dagger warriors still use LUK to increase their damage. Their range formula should be just like any other dagger user, minus weapon mastery of course.
Dagger warriors still technically work; however, many of their skills can no longer be used. Of the explorer branch of dagger warriors, heroes could use shout and combo orbs, paladins could use their self-recovery and heaven's hammer, and dark knights could use their berserk and summon. They all shared ground smash, which was a decent skill with good range, and could use many of the buffs. When the RED patch was implemented, slash blast was buffed to be as strong as ground smash, but the new versions of skills were made unique to their classes weapons. No more shout, heaven's hammer, and many of the buffs.
Dagger dawn warriors are pretty nifty now, but they are similar in power. Since Cygnus Knights have an attack that works with all weapons in their Noblesse tab, a dawn warrior with a dagger can use this skill. By itself it isn't much, but by activating their Falling Moon or Rising Sun buff before equipping a dagger, they keep the effect. This means either bonus damage or bonus lines. I don't believe any other attacks will work, but if you want a dagger warrior with shadow partner...there you go.
oh.. thats a bummer are there any oddjobs viable ?
Well it isn't the oddest of jobs per se, but I've been playing a lot of HP characters lately. No, I don't mean DA either. I have the warrior card effect to add %HP to damage, and just pump HP on my characters. Since the bonus damage applies on every hit, this works better for classes with many lines of damage, like Kaiser. It's also very easy to play without watching the screen if the class you choose happens to have a heal or drain effect....like Kaiser again.
I started making them when the second iteration of PvP came out. My first one was a Demon Slayer; I could afk on my HP DS with reflect on and get multiple kills before dying. It was pretty funny.
