How hard is it to get Nova/Tyrant equips?

I'm debating what to do about gear for my Kaiser. I currently have a 200 Hero with full Empress which I could psok, or I could maybe get Nova/Tyrant equips.

If the equips are obtainable I was considering going through the questline on Hero and fighting the bosses on him.
That way I wouldn't have to strip my Empress.
Would that be a good idea? Or would I be better off just transferring my Empress now and fighting Magus on Kaiser?
The questline I hear is stupid long so I don't wanna have to go through it on more than one char.
