upgrading gear question

So after getting all item slots filled (except pocket and extra pendent slot), what should i start replacing? Should I try replacing my 70% spell traced weapon into either 30% or 15% or keep 70% and start getting potentials? At what point do I start cubing items before enhancing them with scrolls and star force? It would help a lot if someone could teach me details of what order I should improve myself in gearing. Thanks

You definitely wanna replace it with a 15% scrolled weapon
Like Wall said you should focus on your weapon, secondary, and emblem (the last two, potential wise primarily) because they're the equips that contribute the potentials that do the most increase in your range (attack, boss damage, ignore defense, etc.)

In terms of scrolling your gun - if it already has decent potentials on it, or if it's something like epic, then it might be better to just innocence it and rescroll with 30% or 15%. Otherwise, if the potentials are just rare or something, then it might be better to just buy a new gun instead of worrying about the inno.

In terms of 30% or 15%, if you want to scroll it yourself, I highly recommend only doing this during spell trace fever obviously, it'll save you quite a bit of money. However, slates are quite expensive so if you do intend on doing it sometime in the next few weeks be prepared to drop mesos for slates to clear failed slots, if you want it perfected (I'd personally only recommend this if you're doing 15%). If you do want to go this route, buy the slates prior to fever time, not during. If you intend on making that your endgame gun, I'd only settle for 15%, or, if you really want to, prime it, but that costs significantly more.

Alternatively, you can look around the FM to see if you can find a pre-scrolled one, a few tends to pop up after fever time but unfortunately your weapon is not one of the popular ones to trace from what I've seen. If so, however, I'd do some calculations/research to make sure that the one you're buying is indeed 15%'d or 30%'d, whichever you decide to settle on.

But that's just my experience/opinions
Thanks for your detailed input. However im not upgrading my mech, but my kaiser so the item is quite more pricy itself. It does have epic pot so if i read correctly, I'll just keep the 70% for now, and try to inno + 15% whenever my fund allows me to. Im hoping to cube using reward point shop (I don't have much money on my wallet). Im aware this will be slow process, but i just wanted to know what would be the best step so i can make a progress. Thanks again.
Out of curiosity, what is it that makes certain items have greater influence than others on your range? I'm aware those are the top 3, and the weapon and sub make sense obviously. But what makes the emblem so influential?
You can cube the emblem for %boss/%atk but you can't with armor/accessories.
@FlyChopin: scroll your gun then do gun pot > 2ndary pot > emblem pot
then scroll everything else, and then pot it
Do you have 8b+ to perfect your weapon with 15%'s? If not, just keep.
