The phrase "cc plz"

the phrase itself it getting really annoying and then that followed by the amazing amount of idiots that dont understand that when you enter a channel it does not necessarily mean that you are going to ks them. today i was at scarecrows on my cleric and i went to some channel, dont remember the exact one but whatever, and there was a night walker. he said "hey bro cc". so i said "ill take it because you didn't say 'cc plz' ". that was followed by him running up to me and saying "please cc!" and using the f4 emote. im simply said " -.- " and left. i was amazed that he felt the need to ask me to leave a second time, even though i was not killing anything in the first place, and i agreed to leave. i guess saying "ill take it" might cause some confusion but i still thought it was ridiculous. write some of your own stories of people that try too hard to get you to change channels here

"Can you change channels, please? I can't really do anything without a combo.."
I say this after someone has been in the map I'm in killing monsters in for over 1 minute.

"CC plz" is no longer a request, but a demand. The "plz" might as well be ignored. It's extremely rude, no matter how you slice it. They didn't even have the courtesy to type out three words for you.

And yeah, spewing it out immediately upon entering the map is also pretty bad (especially if said map is a through-way to another map and you were passing by).

I often use the following phrase:
Excuse me, but I am training here. Can you please find another ch? <- have to abbreviate "channel", because I run out of typing space.

90% of time time, they leave, either cool with it or a bit annoyed, but still understandable. Heck, I've recieved compliments for not being just another doucebag.

Now, yes, like other people, I tend to be a bit lazy with it. I'll often keep the sentance in my queue of previous lines to re-use it, but I don't activate it immediately. I always give a person some time and assess whether they're going to stay and get in my way or not. If they are, then I bust it out.

Whenever i got nothing to do, i would go over to one of the popular maps like mp3 and see who would call out "cc plz" and so far.....i nearly had 9 players told to me to cc even though i didn't ks what so ever. I would just tell them to stop saying that again before i nearly go out on ksing there map until they learn to say it nicely or at least apologize.

But still, the "cc plz" thing is so common and useless (to me ofc).

well, yesterday some mech came into my map while I was training and started to ks, poorly I might add. I said to him "please leave", his reply was "CC".
I told him, "I was here first though." once again met with "CC". I then KSed him till he left.

Ugh, happened to me as well but here's the story. I was on my fighter at scarecrows and there was a bowmen solo'ing the map so I asked him if he could share the map with me. >_< He agreed but told me to fight near the platform, so to not cause any problems I agreed unfortunately. After all a while three mechanics showed up and started ks'ing the two of us, I asked them to "change channels please" and they kept ksing us. I was completely ignored when I kept asking them so I left after that and went to Drakes. Not only was the bowmen a rude one but the mechanics were too, I can't blame the character class but the people playing them.

This is EXACTLY why I try my hardest to avoid the popular maps. Way too much drama.
I don't ask people to change channels unless their monster killing actually affects my training, if that's not the case I let them stay and train with me, but if them killing monsters on the map does bother my training or they purposely start to kill the mob I'm working on I ask them 'Can you change channels please?' and they usually do, its all about being nice and treating others with respect, something not know to 75% of maple's community lol.
this is exactly what i do. until they actually try ksing me i dont ask them to leave.

wut pisses me off jsut as much is when ur trying to ask them if they can share, and then they completely ignore you, even after 3 or more repetitions of the question. Then i go kill one monster and get an immediate "cc plz" -.-

It's the worst when you didn't intend on staying in the map anyway.

I was just passing through a map when, not even after 2 seconds (I kid you not) I got "cc plz" TWICE.

The last time someone told me to ccplz, bad things happened. So I'm at MP3, training my 102 Hermit, when this lvl 9x CB with really awful damage shows up. She walks in, says CC plz, and just starts trying to KS me. I kind of ignore her, as she is barely affecting my EXP gain. About 20 minutes later, 5 more people show up, from the same guild she's in (2 lvl 12x DB's, a 118 Hermit, a 127 Bishop, A 114 Sader, and this 161 NL) and start destroying the map. I was not in a guild at the time. So I'm just getting annihilated, and figure I'll just leave, train at Mr. Anchors. i leave, everything seems OK. About 10 minutes after that, they all show up again. At this point I'm pretty annoyed, but didn't want to give up. So I went ahead to do my 2 Captain Latancia's for the day. I get in the room, and @'s start flooding my chat window. 5 Minutes later, I DC. Every time I logged on for the rest of that day, I couldn't stay on for more than 5 minutes. Crazy CB. . .

As people have said, when you're standing there or walking through and people go "CC PLZ NAO"
it's really annoying. kinda makes me want to actually ks them
There are nicer ways to ask someone... Like "can you ease change channels I'm training here" that works really well
Not everyone has 10k hp to spare while typing things like that, neither do they want to waste a few good secs of training time.

Yeah, I simply say "Please refrain from saying cc plz" whenever I hear it, because I find it rude and annoying to say so.

CC PLZ =/= asking politely.

"cc plz" started when people would come into maps while others were training on mobs that did decent damage and they didn't want to slow down their training. Since going out of your way to stand on a platform and tell the other to "change channel, I was here first" and wait for an answer took a lot of time, they simply shortened it to "cc plz" which means "change channels please" to use without having to stop training.

There is nothing wrong with the word.

People say it's annoying to type out, "Hey, can you please change channels." Just copy it - and when people KS you, paste.

Sometimes I stand there and watch them continually spam "OGM CC NAO" before they change channels themselves.
Not talking, not killing, not even moving, and they're annoyed by it.
That's how sad people are nowadays. Not everyone is out to KS people.

Most of the time, I just see "cc" now.
I was at jesters on the rope & this drk is training & a mech comes in & he's all "CC MECH" "*** YOU MECH" "OMG CC"
I'm like.
... wow. Just wow. =.='
Will it hurt to say "Can you change channels please?" . (actually, it will hurt if you're in the middle of a mob typing, but you can always go on the ropes.)
