do they work for maplestory?
because on the card it says so, but it looks old and it's the only type of game points availabe close to my home.
should i buy them?

Thats for gifting and the redeem button there makes you open the site
OT: Nexon homepage ~> Top right "Get NX" ~> Purchase NX ~> Pick "PayByCash" in the second column ~> Pick amount of cash ~> Put in code ~> You just bought NX

If he buy 20 dollar UGC, the 10 dollar won't remain in the card anymore and the code won't work for the second time. Instead, the remaining money will be converted to Ultimate Point and stored in his UltimatePay account which he can redeem the next him he made a purchase.

Ultimate Game Card works. I always use UGC to buy prepaid NX.
Just go to http://www.nexon.net/nx/purchase-nx/#/pay-by-cash/ and, select PayByCash, select your amount (10, 30 or 100) and continue.
Enter your email and your UGC code and you will be ready to pay.
If you selected 10 dollar and charged USD20 UGC, the extra 10 dollar will be converted into Ultimate Point and the next time you purchase nx and entered the same email, they will ask you to confirm if you want to use your Ultimate Point to purchase the nx.

To redeem them on Nexon, you need a minimum of $10 worth of UGC.
