If you can get a decent RK, I'd go 1h sword.

1h's attack faster (With the exception of the Stonetooth 2h sword)

1H = possible shield with w.atk, less range, fast speed
2H = no sheild, more range, slower attack speed

1H - Less damage.
2H - More damage, higher multiplier. Slower Speed.

If both weapons were made the same way, scrolled the same way, had the same result and stuff, 2H will win. The only way a 1H can beat a 2H is if you combine 1H with an attack shield (very costly). 1H+Shield also allows you to get more potential stats since it is 2 pieces of equipment.

It's the attack and speed of your weapon that matters. I forgot how fast 2H Swords can be, but generally, 1H has a faster speed. It's costly if you want a lot of damage, though, as you will need an watt. shield/1H sword combo.

1H - More expensive, more DPM
2H - Less expensive, less DPM
