Help with Account Recovery
Recently, my friend decided to come back, but he's missing his password to his account. He does have the ID, and the email with access to it, and I'm trying to help him with it.
I've tried doing [url=http://support.maplestory.nexon.net/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=1146&hitOffset=103+2&docID=390]this[/url] already, but the email isn't being sent. This is a similar problem I've had with an old account I've tried to recover for hot time. The respective email providers were AOL and Gmail, if that matters.
I've tried signing up for an account with the email, and it said it was already used, so it definitely is a problem with the email itself. I also checked the sent messages (sent from the account), and it was full of spam. So it's possible that his account was compromised, though, that doesn't explain why the email isn't being received. I'll tell him to change the password to it for safety issues, and also change the emails linked with his nexon account later, if we can recover it.
Also, he has the information to his facebook account connected the same email, if that is able to help.

Edit: Forgot to add, I tried the password recovery on another account with hotmail, and it seemed to work.

@Hungry Thanks for the tip. Just got on the account though, and I can't find any whitelisting options anywhere. It's an AOL account, if that helps. I checked a few sites about whitelisting, but most of them mention finding the email in the spam box. The problem is, that the email is not being sent at all: in the inbox, spam box, trash or anywhere.
Try whitelisting the email that nexon sent to your hotmail.
@Satalin l: That sucks. What email provider was linked to that account? I think that could potentially be the problem.
i also have this problem when i was reviving a few old accounts but there was this one email that would not receive a pw reset email
