Not really. The 2Dness is what makes this game unique
Maplestory 3D similar to Dragons Nest is basically Dragons Nest with open world.
It's not maplestory 2 it was ever planet ah.
There was a 3-D Maplestory-esque game once. It failed. It was called Kavatina Story, and it was even hosted by Nexon.

They actually announced Maplestory 2 (a 3D sequel to Maplestory) about 3 years ago. They just delayed it... repeatedly... just like Mabinogi 2... and other various titles...
Considering the relative lack of news, though, they may have scrapped it by now. (Hopefully, they did. That game looked horrendous.)
Yes, i sure would like to pay hundreds of dollars.
