I have a laptop with 3gb and it runs pretty decent and smoothly.
You should be fine, just don't have too many things open at once.
my ipod has more ram than that.

It'll run on that, yes.
1 GB of RAM is about the limit for decent gameplay without lag.
That processor is actually better than mine, despite me having 6x the RAM, hahaha.
Probably I ran maple on a horrible computer. As long as most of the RAM is dedicated to maple you should be fine.
