-Shocking Statement
-Statistic/History

Starting off with a question or quote is just... idk my teachers didn't like that so try not to use them. As a starting paragraph, it should be an introduction of your topic. Also, add a thesis statement that basically summarizes what you're talking throughout your essay. Have fun writing
