Unscheduled maintenance will be happening towards this issue most likely.

Hello everyone, I've noticed a lot of people asking for fixes on error 11004. I haven't seen any other threads like this, and since I haven't seen any official statement by GMs, I'm here to offer you guys solutions! I'll start off with more common reasons of this error and tell you how to fix it.

1. The first solution is simply closing and reopening your browser. Google Chrome sometimes has trouble launching the game from the browser. Try closing and reopening the browser and restarting the game.

2. The second solution is trying a different browser. This is mainly if you use chrome, because as stated above, chrome sometimes has trouble initializing the game.

3. The third solution is using the gamelauncher. To find it, go to C://N3xon/Maplestory/Gamelauncher. This will open a seperate gamelauncher. Hit play and then login once the client opens.

4. The fourth solution is reinstalling maplestory. I'm not sure what this would really do if your files are clean and unedited, but a lot of people claim they have done this and fixed the error. So if it comes down to it, go ahead and try this.

5. The fifth solution is checking for a Microsoft Loopback adapter. These can effect maplestory from launching no matter if you launch from the site or gamelauncher. To see if you have one (these steps are for Windows 7) hit start, go to control panel, hit Network and Internet, hit Network and Sharing center, then look and see if any of your connections say Microsoft Loopback Adapter under it. If it does, right click it and hit disable. This will not effect any settings or the performance of your PC.

6. The final, and most uncommon solution, is to try a winsock reset, and flush your DNS Cache. This is VERY uncommon but it's worth a shot. This will really only happen if you're returning from a long break from maple. This happens when the Nexon IP address changed, making your DNS Cache outdated. To do this go start, and use the search bar to type CMD. Right click CMD and run as Administrator. Type in "ipconfig/flushdns" without the quotes and hit enter. Next type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes and hit enter. Afterwards your need to reboot.

copied from another thread, not sure if they'll work. They didn't work for me but did for some others

no, it just has the error and then the support crash thing pops up.
now it also starts maple too, but still gives the error as well...

when you try to start the game, does the patcher window pop up?
