Depends on how you look at it really.
If you want to deal damage compared to most other classes. (even warriors)
You DO need to have a lot of funding to even compare to their damage.

So in my oppinion... Yes you do need a lot of funding.
But pot-wise etc you do not.

Oh yea, never thought about that. BUT!

Sharkwave does not use magic attack. Only class that uses magic attack is a mage sir. And even then mages are easy kills.

Eh not really. Every mob I'm against I'm always sitting on top of it so no use for magic defense. Plus at Union they are nerfing the Shield Mastery skill. It only triples Weapon Defense and not magic defense. But once again, not a problem since 90-100% of your hits taken are from touch anyways so its all good.

Yea I have 6k magic defense lol. Not that hard when you have 140 Equips. High level equips such as a 130 shield, 140 armors, Kenta goggles, Rising Sun, ect... They give like 100-200 magic defense each x 3 = 300-600 each equip. Thought every Paladin had that much lol?
Funding wise, Paladins don't need as much funding as other classes in my opinion if you play your cards right. Their books are dirt cheap, and you buy little to no potions at all. And we kick ass in PvP so easy exp/emblems for levels and mesos there. But as for equipment since demon slayers are dying in popularity %Str is getting slightly cheaper and cheaper since it was high from the Ds bandwagon. And once again, it depends on what you call "Funding". Funding as in buying every equip instead of cubing it yourself? Or crafing + cubing + scrolling it all yourself? For me the only thing I buy is GM scrolls and White Scrolls because I craft all my equips and I save a LOOOOOOOT of mesos. But like HyperRyan said, any class can be hard to fund.

I personally love Paladins because we are unkillable and do very good damage 1v1. And since we don't need a super high range to do good damage such as cannons, a little bit of funding can go a long way. Example: My 15k-17k range I can hit 300k+ per blast, and blast is a pretty fast 1v1 skill. I constantly get people asking why bosses and KSH/LHC mobs do no damage to me and I tell them because I have 9999 Wep Def and 6k Mag Def and their jaws drop. And when you boss and you're the last man standing, that's an awesome feeling.

But some people have different ideas of what their definition of "badass" is. Some people think badass is taking out a whole map in a few seconds, some people think hitting 100k's with Hurricane/Ishtar is badass. Me, I think being able to sit on top of a boss where other people die instantly, that's my kind of badass. Choose a class that you get a great feeling from.
Nice, motivates me on making my first warrior character, and kinda funny with the jaws thingy LOL

Any class can be hard to fund, but I think getting some good %STR at the moment would be hard since Demon Slayers were recently released. Though if you're looking for a class to play just for fun, no funding is needed.
