Windows 7 Problem - Maple Story Crashes
Normally when I log into, type in my pic and go into maple I see my character and when I just move around a little bit I crash. The longest I have lasted without my Maple Story crashing and getting a not responding message was 15 mins. I can tell when I am about to crash because my screen just freezes. I have tried different compatibility modes like Windows Xp and Vista but none work. Does anyone have and resolutions because If i enter a portal or move a tiny bit my Maple Story crashes.

I assuming you just tried to run maple story on compatibility mode with those version of maple story. I've tried using compatibility mode, no difference. Well if you guys go onto Maple Stories' website and go to client download you will see Win 7 and Vista are not listed on recommended or minimum requirements. Even though they made a patch for Windows 7 and etc idk they might of done something wrong.
Dude, it's not only W7.
It's also on the old window versions too (Vista, XP, and 98)
It is just a glitch from the game which most likely Nexon put a wrong code on accident ( or on purpose...) when they had to fix the Compass event.
Hopefully Nexon will fix it Next Tuesday/Wednesday (kinda doubt it...)

the crashing seems to be more frequent after this maintenance that's supposed to fix it =/
maple is working for me way better then before the patch, except that sometimes i DC once i log-in, but if i survive the 1st 20 secs then am safe, i even stayed once for 20 hours (mostly in FM shop) which was never possible before the patch
i use W7 64-bit, no compatibility mode

I'm guessing you're one of the few exceptions.
Other maplers with modern OS generally crash more often now.
OT: This issue is beyond annoying. I can't even merch properly, or use my 2x Rep/CS Card to their fullest potential.

I don't know, maple works better for me after the patch, and the only the problem I had before it was the click twice to cc bug. I run Win7 64-bit
It keeps blinking, and I did install the x64 Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package. ugh

Does your screen start blinking or does it just freeze?
if it's blinking, just tab out and back in. It should be fixed for about 30 seconds until the next round of blinking begins xD
reinstall maple , it worked for me
We should all give Nexon a round of applause for making this game FLAWLESS! cough cough*
Grrr.... I've even tried a fix someone suggested in another thread but it didn't work =[

Same thing happens to me. As soon as I log in, black screen of death and maple crashes. I have W7/64 bit. Never happened before this "W7/Vista Fix maintenance"
