Failed hammer slot
I have been scrolling the heart of my hideous vampire friend and got it to +8. I then hammered it twice with 50% hammers, one failed, one succeeded. I scrolled it once and now it's +9 with 0 slots left and 2 hammers used. Now I know (or thought I knew) that you can get that slot back with clean slates. Problem is, I've used 30 CSS on it so far and none worked. Am I just incredibly unlucky or am I wasting slates?

It works. A friend of mine used it to regain a hammer slot on a 100% success glove.
RNG is failing you. After failing about 20 css in a row, I stop... cc, kill mobs for like 10 minutes, and try again. I learned the hard way after failing 50 in a row trying to get a slot back on my claw.
I used 100 10% css scrolls and only 4 worked.
use 20% clean slates its cheaper
Yeah, decent point. I've just never been this unlucky with slates, so I wanted to confirm it.

You can get it back. If you couldn't, it would say you can't use a css on it.
