Telecasting for DPS in bosses

How do you telecast without taking damage? Or are you supposed to just face tank? Also telecasting vertically seems awkward and unreliable while telecasting horizontally ensures you take touch damage (which isn't the worst in the world for most bosses). I've been jump-casting final blow and teleporting mid air to mixed success, though I still take touch damage.

And for bosses that one-shot you (magnus, CRA), can you really afford to use your repositioning skill for dps?

@ise3: like every other class, its not too hard to stop and walk away when hes going to hit the ground with his sword, the time he fires 1hko from his hands is our time to shine because we are of few classes who can attack someone in that height and stay safe, avoid meteorites like anyone else but we have advantage because teleport is superior when it comes to dodge those and bam's tele is the quickest
another thing is his swipe that knocks-back can be dodged by teleporting up so he cant throw u to imminent death by meteorites
its pretty much practice like any other class but we have more gameplay mechanics to dodge death while also dealing the most damage, a longer learning curve but very rewarding and fun imo

@star909: yea oops i forgot that, i'm not too sure on the exact base value too but it's enough to hit 100% with koc links, resistance potion, and a few levels in willpower

@puffinssz: if you're talking about flame DoT then you can "avoid" it with enough status resist. I forgot the base status resist on a BaM though.

always prioritise repositioning over damage; mess around a bit to find a comfortable telecast rhythm and commit it (somewhat) to muscle memory, you shouldn't distract yourself fumbling to telecast at bosses that can ohko you.

once you have that down, the only times you should stop telecasting for dps is when the boss is out of range, or when you have to teleport to dodge an attack.

at cra queen you can basically avoid everything except the dot damage; time your vertical telecast to avoid her scratch attack and the floating hearts, horizontal telecast while waiting to react to dodge the suction, don't hit dr/pot during zombify,
at clown/banban, time horizontal telecasts to avoid their attacks. unrelated but while banban is using his tornado, there's a specific distance you can stand at to be able to hit it with max range fb (kinda like at the pb bird statues),
at cvel/magnus just go with the flow and use what the situation calls for.

personally i don't like to jump before telecasting unless i need the small bit of distance from the jump, it prevents me from teleporting horizontally for a few frames when i'm landing, which can make the difference between dodging a cvel tail and not; but ultimately just find something that you're most comfortable with.

@vivabasura: How do you dodge all the one shots in magnus when you use your teleport for dps?

i facetank everything and use vertical telecast, i find it much easier than horizontal
we are tanky enough to facetank for sometime before needing a potion so theres no big potion spam
i find magnus easy as a bam, im not sure about CRA i dont have much experience on that but on my first runs id stay alive even though i had no idea what was going on thanks to red aura so its pretty op, use if u dont feel tanky enough to facetank
