Wand vs. Staff in other words, more matk or speed
Is fire poison mage dps affected by the weapon speed? Keep in mind that the main bossing skills for F/P are now flame haze and mist eruption, which are both quite slow.

I ended up getting a staff (unpsoked) for 2.5b...

They can use either Wand or Staff.

Corrected. There's no skill that's affected by weapon speed now.
I'm under the impression that the only skill affected by different weapon speeds is explosion, which isn't often used anyway. The biggest difference between a staff and a wand that I know of is a small amount of m.atk and a large difference in price.
The only way to increase cast speed is through booster, speed infusion, IA, and extreme green potions. You'll hit the same speed with your main skills using either a wand or a staff.
isn't casting speed important especially since we're using mist eruption?
Weapon speed doesn't affect skills, only casting speed (basically staff is always better than a wand, wish I knew that before I perfected my wand though)
Weapon Speed does not factor in Explorer Mages.
