Perfecting your own dagger?

I remember the Maple Anniversary events were always the time to be able to perfect your own weapon without spending money, but I never really got around to doing it and thought I'd give it a try this year round.

For those of you that have perfected your own weapon via anniversary event, generally how long did it take you? How long did you play daily? What do you need in specifics?

I never really participated during anniversary events because finals would bombard me and work would keep me preoccupied, but I have some free time now and thought i'd give it a shot.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Could you expand on the devon letters? Are you talking about the dev letters, what do they do?
yeah i am talking about those, basically kill monsters unbox and you get 1 letter, complete a set of letters and you gain coins
generally, all i just did was get the daily coins + killing the 200 monsters and then i would farm for devon letters for 1-2 hours at sdh whilst getting levels
in the end i would generally get about 200-350 per day.

but 15%, don't you need a lot of clean slates?
yes assuming that u land 3 slots out of 10, u will need (theoretically) 70 clean slots (10%), and they cost around 40m each(GAZED price), so around 2.8b in clean slate. But it would probably be +- 500m depending on your luck. But then again you will probably land 0 out of the 10 slots or 10 out of 10 slots, it all depends on RNG.
if you had 10 mules you could do 10 scholar shroom quests, they each give 30 coins, 30 x 10 = 300. thats enough for a prime. but do you risk all 10 scrolls without no additional items? lucky day scrolls for the 10% increased success? do you protect every time you use a prime scroll? if you just use the prime as is, it is possible for you to land all 10. its possible the item will boom on the 9th scroll, or even the first scroll.

i think its better to just 15% spell trace, its like a 30 attack loss i think, after enhances and what not. but it shouldnt cost you as much as prime scrolls.
for a dagger, its a 13att loss, which is not that bad considering u save a lot of money that can be invested elsewhere.

Due to the limited number of purchases and steep pricings, it is impossible to perfect a weapon from this anniversary alone. It can however give you a good start with things like shield scrolls and hammers, especially when coupled with spell trace fever time.
