And why exactly was this even accepted? This is Basilmarket, a Maplestory related site. Who even gets the idea to post something from Adventure Time here? I've never seen the show, so I don't exactly know if this is good or not, and you know what? I shouldn't have to tell you whether it's good or not because it has NOTHING to do with Maplestory. If you want critique, either post on an Adventure Time art website or a general art website. This seriously made me slightly mad, what is non-Maple related content doing on a fan website based off of Maplestory?

I've gotta say the majority comments here are kind of a waste of time. She clearly doesn't seem to care

qurl, idk about you, but lately all her screens were slapped onto front page lately without a single check.

It's like all these new basilartists don't learn and simply seek FP-fame.

I like the picture... but the comments interest me more. Some of these comments are very childish! Who cares if a irrelevant picture got on the front page? Shouldn't you be glad she got a picture on front page? Instead of being selfish, because YOU WANT YOUR rights? Its not a big deal.. why make it a big deal? Just comment on the picture whether you like it or not! I know its not right but you don't have to be rude. And if you do have a serious problem about it, take it to Mr. Basil

I love Adventure Time and I think this is very cute, but I have to agree with the majority here. You shouldn't submit unrelated work simply because you can't find enough feedback elsewhere. I know it's tough and I know why you might've thought this was a good idea (I dislike dA myself and often post work on smaller, more specialized sites) but you have to understand that people who come to Basil expect nothing but MS-related content. You may have gained a larger audience, but you've let many of them down as well. I would think about that - about what your audience truly means to you - before this happens again.

Now then, since your work is clearly relevant to my interests, would you mind giving me your dA username so I can stalk you? I may not be Basil's frontpage but I will try to comment when I can.

You can't just expect positive critique. I'm sorry but, the picture is good and I like Adventure Time, but if you want to expect positive critique, you should go to DeviantART or Pixiv (Note that BasilMarket isn't an art community)
As people mentioned, it's rather unfair for people who try to post unrelated content to the screens section. All you're going to get is "How did Mr. Basil accept this?".

Even tho this getting accepted is unfair. i gotta admit that this is rlly good and cute. adventure time <3

Right, because the concept of likes on basil =/= faves on dA. I generally see more likes on basil screens than comments depending on the subject matter; but for art wise, it's more likes than comments. It's pretty much the same deal here, not to mention the amount of complaints from artists saying "Baaaw, everyone is a robot and keeps saying it's cute" which is pretty much true for both places.

I don't get as much feedback on dA either but when it comes to popular fan bases, the chances are most likely. The number of Adventure Time fans > the number of MapleStory fans by a lot. To back that up, there are far more clubs with far more members than MapleStory related clubs alone. If you take me for example, I get more commentary on my Pokemon related work (there's like less than 10 related works) than all of my Maple related ones (more than 20 submissions for sure) combined. :L

On top of that, if you comment well often enough on dA -- you'll make yourself known and will likely get feedback in return. In other words, give what you got and receive something in return.

Lastly if your work is a comic/controversial/has words that aren't too painful to read, this also increases the chances of getting commentary as well (obvious reasons include people love expressing their thoughts).

I don't really mind. I love it, just because of Marshall lee @juliacat, there was that first episode, but a second episode was leaked with Marshall lee.

Yes, you are entirely entitled to post art here. However you are not entitled to post art that has no relevance to the website's subject. Let's say I drew a car and I went to a horse maniac website to post it, people would respond "Why is this here?". BasilMarket is not an art community / website. It's a website about Maplestory. The screenshot section is there to showcase related content.

In the past Mr.Basil has made it clear that he does not want unrelated pictures on the site. However he is also unaware of what is unrelated or related most of the time. The fact that he accepted this disregard your description, is probably because you wanted to display a kind message towards basilmarket, however did not have the right medium to do this.

This does not mean that you should be at liberty to continue posting unrelated content.

Not maple relate it but it looks nice.

Figures but why complain about it? I've had plenty of rejected pics but you don't see me complaining over this unfair justice. And if they very well know you can't post non ms related screens then why try to keep posting them. So what if one got through? It's just wishing you a happy Valentines Day in s cartoonish fashion, which by the way, has what resembles maple story avatars. I just see all of this complaining to be ridiculous and childish, but hey we're on basilmarket home if the ridiculous, ignorant, and childish.

It's funny how Marshall- Lee appeared on screen for less than 5 seconds in the first Fionna and Cake episode, yet he has his own fanbase.
