General

Paladin

Help with fourth job skills please

Hi

So I reached paladin a few days ago, and after looking through countless paladin threads, I still have some questions.

1. Is it not worth getting divine shield now, since it expires quickly or something like that?

2. If I have lvl 3 blast and with CO that is 5, can I use my blast 20 book or do I have to raise it to base 5?

3. Will using HH on a monster that is immune to my current charged element result in 0 damage, or will dmg always be 999k? Also, does HH work like snipe in the way that it can always hit monsters no matter what level?

4. The "attribute attacks" and "abnormal status tolerance" parts of guardian, what exactly do those mean o.o Like magic attacks or all attacks in general, and status like stun, zombify, dispel fail 30% of the time?

And yes, I am a UA paladin. I understand that many of you must hate me, the same way I hate all UA buccs. But i really did not want to go through another hell third job.

Thanks
I don't hate UA's, but I will probably consider them to be all noobs and never really befriend one

mostly because I haven't been proven wrong yet
I'm an Ultimate Adventurer.
Lol thanks guys

And i mentioned that because I saw that some other threads turned into a fight about whether the TS was a UA paladin or not
Fair enough. Most people are starting to simmer down about the whole ordeal, at any rate.
Anyhow, feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.

1. Divine Shield currently does not provide invincibility frames when you're hit with magic attacks, making it a poor option for training at LHC or Pap, or wherever else. It's still a good move, just not as good as if it provided i-frames for magic attacks, as well.
2. It has to be level 5 without any boosts from reverse weapons, +2 skill hats, or Combat Orders.
3. HH always deals 999,999 damage, or, if a monster has less than 999,999 HP remaining it will deal damage equal to the monster's HP minus one. HH and Blast's OHKO effect both apply to monsters you cannot hit. (For example, I could use HH on RGTS when I was 13x, while he is 160, and a friend of mine would finish him off. I can also currently OHKO Dunas Type D with Blast, even though I am 143).
4. abnormal status means dispel, stun, curse, etc., while attribute attacks refers to elemental damage, like a Priest's elemental resistance.

You really did not need to mention whether or not you're an UA. Unfortunately, you're going to get hate from some here just for being a new Paladin.

1. Not as much.
2. No, you need to raise it to 5 without CO.
3. Always 999,999, no matter what level.
4. Status attacks as well as elemental attacks (however there aren't very many). The value "30%" is unclear and ambiguous, and to my knowledge has never been tested.

We don't hate you.
