Details: I know i could get a better one by building one, or ordering it online, but my father is helping subsidize some of the cost, and i live 10 min away from best buy, so thats the reason why im getting it there.

More Details:

1. Going to college so i will need it for college stuff, such as notes and stuff.
2. Videogames are going to not really be too much of a priority. mostly Maplestory and minecraft.
3. Going to watch vids on here such as Korra and other things.
4. Its going to need some longevity, since im going to use it for a while
5. It going to need to be durable, since im carrying it around everywhere.

Thank you for your help!

I'd go with the Asus. It's cheaper than the others and you won't be losing much performance (for what you'll be using it for).

Buying a widescreen laptop with a full number pad and everything sort of defeats the purpose of it being portable, don't you think?
Also you don't really need more than 4 GB of RAM, not even if you're gaming. If you're gaming you should be intelligent enough not to be using a laptop to do so.

Lenovos have this tendency to get really hot due to the their build.

ASUS all the wayyyy. [I own a N53S 1080]
