Is it possible to fusion anvil an item back to it's original sate?
What would the green item icon on the bottom of the equip say, if I did fuse the two same items?

but idk why you want to revert it unless you bought an ugly item
You have to obtain an item that has the same appearance, and anvil it to that.
You'll have an item for example, that has "VIP Katara" as the name at the top, and have it say "Fused with VIP Katara" at the bottom.
Yes you can an item to the same item
It would say that you fused it with the same item.
So if you fuse a rac over specs and want to fuse it back to specs
It'll say your item has been fused with specs
