MapleStory Merchanting Guide Bb

**Hello Basilers! Today, I will be revealing my ways of merchanting and making mesos from my experience and how I did it. Hopefully, this guide will be the guide for you!**
**Last Updated : JANUARY 29, 2015**

A little background info about me : __I started MS since version 14 when Windia was released. I played Scania and started merchanting around v20's and never done anything other than merchanting since then. I lost my account and quitted. I restarted MS 2 years later in v146. I am showing you how I made my money as a returner and how I achieve from about 100 million mesos to 1 trillion mesos.__

Why am I revealing my secrets and ways into profiting / merchanting?

Because I don't play MS anymore and I want to help newer players how to merch and how it's possible to make this game Free2Play rather than Pay2Win.
It's possible and it's also worth the experience to try something new and beneficial for your MapleStory experience! =] And because I don't need to worry about competition anymore.

What is merchanting?

__"Merchanting is the process of getting things in Maplestory and selling them for a profit. It's the best way to get rich in the game."__ - @smartguy11

**I will now reveal my steps into becoming a trillionaire on MapleStory (Not Guaranteed For You / This is from my experience) :**

=== Step 1 === : Try to find a way to obtain a store permit! Don't get a mushie AKA hired merchants yet!
Store Permits or Seasonal Store Permits are the best for you because they are cheap.
Store Permits can hold up to 16 items at a cost of only 1800 NX
Seasonal Store Permit can hold up to 24 items at a cost of around 2500 NX

PROS :
- Price is fairly cheap.
- They last 90 days.

CONS
- You have to stay in one spot on MapleStory.
- You have a chance of losing your spot from disconnecting.

__Where can I get NX for a store permit?__

Well. You can go buy karma coins and redeem a card to purchase your store permit.
Or if you want the feeling of free to play, then I suggest go fill out some surveys or do some events to earn Maple Points! (That's how I earned mine) Nexon surveys on on the site so feel free to check it out!

=== Step 2 === : Sell your stuff! AFK (Away from Keyboard) in your shop! Make sure you max out your shop because time is indeed money. Try to earn up to about 100,000,000 mesos from selling randomm junk or anything you don't need.

What should I do if I don't have enough items to sell?

Well. There are always ways to profit. Sell some junk in your inventory! You can always go to Lith Harbor to buy some Sky-Wooden Chairs for about 1,000 mesos each and resell them for up to 500,000~3,000,000 each. Yes! They sell. Don't believe me? Try for yourself. Another item you can do are bathrobes for men which is obtainable in Showa for about 30,000 mesos each. You can resell them for 500,000~1,000,000 each.

Why do players buy these item at such a high price?
- Because some are too lazy to travel to buy an item they want / need, they are willing to pay at such a price.
- In market, players make the mistake of buying items like these thinking they are rare or unobtainable and purchase without hesitating. Or don't know price or where to get (mainly new players)
__(Please don't become a victim of buying an overprice item and not knowing a price and please don't take advantage of other players by telling what an item is worth when it's not!)__

Ways I can get to 100,000,000 mesos There may be other ways, but choose whichever way works for you!

- Buy spell traces 5,000 ~ 10,000 mesos below market price. EX : If an spell trace is 10,000, buy for 5,000 ~ 7,000 mesos and resell for 10,000 or more! Spell traces are easy and fast profits! Yes, they are small profit, but it will help you build up by a lot.
- Sky-Wooden Chair from Lith Harbor as mentioned above.
- Bathrobe for men from Showa as mentioned above.
- Spell Tracing low level item equips and selling them for more! Items such as bathrobe for men, branch nose level 10, etc. Common items tend to sell the quickest and most profit!

Make sure to repeat this process until you achieve a goal of 100,000,000 mesos! Once there, you can proceed to the next step!

=== Step 3 ===

**Congratulations! Now you're on step 3!**
With 100,000,000 mesos, you can start purchasing cheap stuff at around 5~25 Million mesos. If it's a cheap item at a higher price, feel free to buy! Profit is profit, But don't buy high and sell slightly higher because it is a waste of time (B/C time is money) and your profit will be small. Items under 100m tend to sell quicker and faster. It's quick profit if you ask me! When I had around 100m mesos, I would buy things likes :

- Tuna Lv 10 for around 10~25m and resell for 50~100m.

Why would people buy such an overprice item?
Well because the FM nowadays is small and people don't have the time to go find their desired items. Eventually, someone would purchase =]

Don't forget, you can't become a successful merchant without the patience =]

Other profitable items can be...
- Even items AKA witch hats, brooms, etc
- Color Bandanas! Yes they sell! 10~20m each is a fair price especially when they drop from monsters!
- Clean Work Gloves can be sold for around 5m a piece

With 150mil you can try getting CSS 10%s for pretty cheap and selling for a couple mil more.
