Cant Download Maplestory?

I've been trying to download Maplestory all day and it just won't work...

When using the Maplestory Downloader from Nexon's site, it keeps freezing somewhere between 30% ~ 40% and just stops. It goes from almost 3 MB/s downloading to 0 bp/s and just refuses to continue. I tried restarting, deleting the downloader and retrying, all my anti-virus and firewalls are disabled, and it still won't work. I then tried the alternate download on their site, and after it downloads, I launch the installer, and I get Error Code -40, and it says it cannot locate all required installation files. I deleted the installer and re-downloaded it, same problem.

This is a brand new computer - I got it about 2 days ago, and MapleStory has never been on it previously. What the hell is going on?
