I just got mine from the zombie dude and I wanna make it have att, how would I go about doing this as cheap as possible

Probably the 60% anniversary scrolls for 1h/2h weapon that give 5 att or 6 if you are lucky. If you pass 5 out of 9 slots (no hammers) then it will be 25 att.
I would assume +5atk with 6 failed slots(with hammers)
