How does the splash on spiralling vortex work?
Ive been 4th job for a while and I still have no idea how it works... it seems the more I use it in a row, when I stop attacking everything just blows up. However, if I go on a ladder then it doesnt go at all. How does this work and is there a way I should be using it to maximise mobbing?
EDIT: And how do I get the elemental expert skill that I keep reading about? I tried googling and couldnt find anything, Im level 131 and dont have it...

the splash is currently bugged atm to work only if you're physically moving your character around, if you stand still and spam vortex the splash won't occur, a bit annoying but I just switch out between vortex and SoH to proc the splash

I believe in mSEA wind archers were given 100% for some reason. In kmst it was initally 100% for everyone but was nerfed on release.
@Night0fSorrow That page is a bit old, WA's got changed to 50% sometime ago, so no you're not missing out.

From my experience, first the skill hits its primary 7 targets, then each of them splash the secondary damage to its little buddies near them. If I were to jump on a rope in in the middle of the shot it wont splash, but then it'll resume splashing when i jump off of the rope. (weird stuff)

It seems to ramp up the more you use it .. if you check your lightbulb you should have some job quests? Otherwise go to Ereve and chat with Neinheart or something
