A Question from an old I/l Mage

Hello everyone!

My original character was an I/L mage 5 years ago (loved the lightning skill back then ) and I played it up till about 3-4 years ago. I've been on my Evan and other such characters, but recently I saw an I/L at LHC chain lightning it up. So I made one and got it to 41 with 2 hours of 3x (thanks nexon ). Just wondering if anything substancial has happened to I/L in the past 3ish years (apart from the new skills which I read up on). New fighting styles? What skills are still relevant? Why is the build advising i max Slow (its really useless on my evan)? etc.
