I have the same problem, and it only happens when i'm trying to switch chars the first time. I'm already in the process of sending a ticket right now, i'll post it when i'm done. I'm also experimenting with this login issue (restarting/shutting down comp, compatablility, etc.)

After the Unscheduled server maintenance, I've noticed that when I try to switch characters (first time and after entering in the PIC twice), the game disconnects me, and I get a message saying "you have been disconnected from the login screen". I have tried and tried many times in an attempt to log back in, but it doesn't work. Also, there have been a few threads on this issue, so that means this is not just me. Please look into this and try and fix it as soon as possible. Thank you.
