Merching and funding

Aye there,

I got bored of my main so now I want to start playing a different class. As I've never really played a pirate (besides a lvl 2x TB <.&lt I decided I'd give them pirates a shot. However, I don't know anything about pirates nor about their funding. I got about 230m in mesos right now and maybe another 50-70m in junk I gotta sell, but I don't think that would come close to funding a decent Corsair. It doesn't have to be godly as I'm not gonna spend more than a bil on one single equip, but how much would I need to do some decent damage? And also, what would be my best shot at merchanting with about 230m?
