So once you have found a map and killed the mobs is there a way to make them respond?

When you go into the portal again, you will encounter different monsters. Keep going into the portals until you see either plants or wolves (one's that display their hp like bosses at the top of the screen). Focus on killing only those two mobs for the best exp

Only way to make them respawn is to go to the next map.
