Battlemage

How good is Battlemage?

Is Battle mage considered as a decent or higher tier class?
Would you recommend Battle mage to Zero players like me?

@SaucyMoose: Wow, you're right lol. Neeeeevver knew Lumi had ele decrease which suddenly explains a lot to me about some of the more funded lumi's in my server and how they cap xD Thanks for pointing that out sir
BaMs are fine, the only thing I'll add is that you should take into consideration whether you wanna be able to boss and just how much you're willing fund to do it xD Cause BaMs don't have elemental decrease which means any other Mage (besides lumis, bishops and BTs) will do more pound for pound and gear for gear until they cap without elemental decrease, at which point the class with the most hits per second wins out.
Not trying to be rude but just so you're aware, luminous does have elemental resistance. The classes with elemental resist are as follows: F/P, I/L, Evan, Luminous & Blaze Wizard. Which means the Mage classes without ele resist are: Kanna, Bishop, Beast Tamer & Battle Mage.

For bossing, any other mage will do more damage with the same amount of gear. Also even with a high amount of hp you will still die very often just trying to recast aura and aura related buffs. The buffs are you main source of damage but have cool downs, so once you die you either have to wait for them or just revive without them and try to attack with a very small range. For training it's repetitive but that could be said for any other class. You will be spamming the attack button though, so if you aren't into that this isn't the class for you. For fun... I would say the most fun I had on my BaM was when I had to move around a big map killing for a quest or collecting items. Their teleport has pretty good range and their attacks are fast. Playing a class for respect is laughable. I judge people based on their behavior and attitude, not the class they play.

If you're in it for the fun definitely go for it. (rare class / much respect / cool party skills / KMS doing a revamp for more damage % on skills )

If your in it for the stronk bosses,
Don't go there, it's not worth it.. Ok your special, you can't do anything, you can deliver damage but buff freezers don't carry over auras and recasting them results in more deaths..
You can probably see the problem here, theres no way youll ever kill pierre or von bon alone, also hell gollux/ magnus prolly not a good plan alone..
Dojo won't be getting rank 1 with infinity range cuz of close range atks.

Battle mages are amazing, I would recommend everyone make one. The only thing is auras are no longer available for partys after 4th job, because grand light aura compressees the effect getting rid of the buff icon and giving only you a stronger effect. Aside from that its so much fun.

I don't see any problems with Battle Mage other than delays (which will be fixed soon) and repetition (fixed at 170). They have sturdy damage and defenses, are good for party use (auras), and fun (subjective, most people have said so) with the 170 Hyper
