Nothing matters about your build since its your own right to decide whether its comfortable to do it or not.
Besides, as long as you got ele staff i don't see the problem about it and plus its pretty good that only have 3 booster which would put less concern of rebuffing it like every 70 secs or something (if you balance out both booster and drain).
But anyway, maxing out drain is not bad cuz you don't won't have to worry about a short time to rebuff it.
Sadly for me, I just balance out both booster and drain just for the heck of it and ofc, I have to deal with rebuffing it a lot of times but I don't seem to get mad about it so yippee.

Well that is how much Booster/Drain I have and it works OK but having 17 booster 6 drain is really better IMO. My max drain is about 522 at lvl 143 and I do about 15k per hit (not counting crits or body boost) for 90k total. 90k*.01=900 so even 1% is almost twice what I need. Even if I somehow did the same dmg you do right now (which would be basically impossible considering ADA alone...) it would be almost enough to hit the drain cap at 2%. 6/17 gives what is IMO the perfect synchronization between the two durations at 78 seconds and 81 seconds.

(I'm very unfunded, deal 5k*5 with quint blow, 25k * 0.03 = 750. 750 is how much i would heal per hit with level 9 drain, and assuming i have a high enough base hp to heal that much.

if u dont mind casting booster that often then its okay. but it is inarguably an inferior build

Elemental Staff is Fast (4). With Booster it hits the speed cap of Faster (2). With just Yellow Aura it is only Faster (3). With Body Boost and Yellow Aura it also hits the speed cap of Faster(2). Not that using anything except ADA/DA is very optimal. You will attack a lot faster with booster on and if you start fighting some bosses you will see that the difference between having Fast(4) and Faster(2) is huge. I personally don't care what your build is but don't delude yourself into thinking it's anything but intentionally gimping yourself for absolutely no gain.

Drain cap is 10% of your unbuffed max HP. The reason people bash on your build is that you sacrificed so much duration for booster that you have to recast it almost constantly and gained nothing useful. If there was no drain cap and more points in drain actually helped it might be a valid option but that is not how it works. You gained nothing except you don't have to recast drain as much but the amount of times you have to recast booster costs you way more time than you would have saved.

Your build is just plain worse than not maxing drain and having booster at a decent level. I suggest you change your build when we get the SP Resets in Chaos but like you said it's your character. Feel free to use a subpar build that lowers your dmg and slows you down by constantly recasting booster for absolutely no gain.

why max drain when you can reach max hp drained in1 hit without anything else

You'd reach drain cap w/ like lvl 3 drain anyways.

i hardly use booster i have set to a macro(booster+Reaper+convertion) but i use that just for convertion

Yeah, he went through the same thing, just ingore them, when your 120 your gonna see, it was worth it, your gonna save pots, and do better bossing wise.
