New Class Branch Summoner.

[header]Pre-Reading Info[/header]

Okay, to say the least, lm bored. So this is just an idea and my flame shield is UP

[header]Story[/header]

Before Big-Bang impacted Maple World, there was a large culture of Black Mage Minions. These people were called the Shadow Summoners. While the Maple World is forming new classes to defeat the Black Mage, the Shadow Summoners are needed to fight back again. Within the depths of Sleepywood, this culture is slowly rejoining together. They are becoming stronger.

You wake up in a ominous hut with many other half-alive people. You realize you have been re-called upon to fight with the Black Mage. When you are fully awoken, you get instructed to travel to the main town deep through Sleepywood to regain your strength and powers. When you arrive to the main town, you meet many of the Black Wings Reporters. You are told to do many things to prove your trustworthiness for your culture. When you complete these errands, you job advance. You are given the ability to summon again, however you are not strong enough to possess all the summoning abilities. You are then told to gather information about the Maple World cultures and classes. You work as a spy and find out many of the weaknesses about these classes. You overhear you develop new summoning skills when you reach the levels of 10, 20, 30, 45, 55, 70, 90, 105, 120, and 150 You are already contain the intelligence to summon your level 10 skill. These summonings are monsters found in Maple World to help you gain as much information as you can to report to the Black Wings Reporters and the Black Mage.

[header]About The Class[/header]

The Summoners use a new weapon called the Summoning Books. You are based off the Mage Class, and you primarily use INT as your base stat. Your HP will be quite low and your MP will be very high. The HP disadvantage will be resolved by the many summoning skills you get. Monsters you fight for EXP are not killed. They are instead "captured" in exchange for Experience Points.

Advancements will not be automatic like the Evan class. You get a lightbulb quest to enable you to warp back to the Sleepywood Camp. You are requested to venture and capture the mob's accompany you are to gain, using a like capture skill as Wild Hunter have, just not as exploitable. In other words, the skill's only used for advancement quests like stated. You gain a "Shadow" skill every normal Job Advancement // 10, 30, 70, 120. // However, you gain Shadow skill "advancements" inbetween. Keep in mind you capture the spirit. Not the physical mob.
The Mini Bean summon is a gift from Francis the Puppeteer to commemorate your hard work to 150.
You gain new Shadow Skills & Shadow Book by completing Recon Quests. You get one at levels 10, 30, 70, and 120. You are required to travel to a said NPC, and use the Stealth skill to get a "secret" message out of a NPC. You report that message back to the Sleepywood Camp, and you get rewarded a new Shadow Book and Shadow Skill.
For example, for the level 30 Recon Quest, you may have to go stealth mode on all the Victoria Island Job instructors, and get information on how the adventurers are planning to rebound on the Black Wings. The mist is used in rare events where the victim needs to be temporarily disabled of all actions.
Summoned mobs are not spawns. They are operated like an Evan Dragon, which follows you and you can use it's coordinated attacks, but you exchange skills in an Aura - Like method, where only one is activated at a time. Summoned attacks are only useable when the coordinated mob is summoned, but shadow skills are always useable.

Summons are shadows, they wouldnt be like a full out herd of colorful orange mushrooms. They would be shadows that are summoned.

Up until Level 30 you are able to summon one monster at a time.
Up until Level 70 you are able to summon two monsters at a time.
If this was real wouldn't they make new monsters for summoning? It reminds me of Seymore and Yuna
Well yeah they could. However, it'd be quite difficult and irritating trying to make skills for summons that don't even exist....that's why l used current mobs to use as a reference for skills...
Yeah some of the monster summons are kinda lame (except the last one). Maybe make it so there's a monster level requirement to use the skills.
elaborate...l don't follow.

l made the summons as close as l could to the level you receive them at. E.G. Leprechaun = Level 45.

The new main town is located deep in Sleepywood.

And....Job advancements are job advancements. l mean, you'd have to do some work to get them. For example, the Aran class requires quests to be done for almost all their skills.
Sound like a wild hunter to me...
summoning monsters that are hacked to kill for them...
...except it's LEGIT ;D
I'd rather have a monster specifically created for that job instead of using ones in the game. Orange mushrooms are lame.
Level 10's are lame. Ahaa. l mean, l guess you could debate there should be a specific summon just for the class, but isn't that how the Evans are operated?

Personally, I'd love to play a class like this I don't know, I'm always drawn to summoning classes (like necromancers in diablo II )
