Actually I believe you are wrong, unless this has never happened to me. What I find wrong is you talking about the 5 man premade. When I play with my friends, I always get matched against other premade teams and never solo queuers. I think that's how it's supposed to be, cause it'll be unfair if you are up against a 5 man who have communication. And I feel like it averages your mmr with your premade. Cause my MMR is pretty low, like Bronze 3, and some of my friends have normal MMRs that are like gold 5, and we go against like Silver 3 opponents. That is just my thinking and I've seen it happening to me a lot of times.

But like I said, it happens when i solo queue normals also. They're also premade of 3-5 most of the time too.

They're separate, so that just means yours is pretty high, and/or theirs is pretty low. You could start ranked as soon as you get to 30 and get to Platinum or Diamond, but your normal rating won't change at all (it can only be affected by normal games themself).

It's honestly a bit better for you as you get to be paired against harder opponents.
In turn it makes you a better player
