Returning to Ms, need some advice

Hey guys, so I just returned to MS, and I've been grinding away some levels... but I get a sense that the leveling is just too slow with my current range.
I was wondering what job I should make that requires almost to very little funding to do well... Ultimately, I want to fund my BM after I get some mesos.

I feel like the game has changed so freakin mucchhh! All these new skills...

But like I said, I don't do that much damage...

What exactly happened over the past two years?
