Yeah that sounds about right for an old console. When I dust off the genesis it takes 5-10 minutes before I get the games to actually work lol. And I remember my friend's old playstation had to sit sideways or the cd wouldn't spin.
Haha such genuine compromises...

Every now and then, I play Smash Bros., Mario Kart, or Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie) on my 64, just to relive those wonderful memories.
What a coincidence, just yesterday I spent about 1 hour trying to figure out the names of some really old games I used to play as a kid, but I couldn't remember the names of them, only bits and pieces of what you did in the game (it turned out to be an educational DOS game from '93 called Super Solvers: Gizmos & Gadgets)... Ah nostalgia

Also why no Star Fox 64 or Perfect Dark? Those games rocked, I still go back to play those from time to time. My oldest console I still own is my Sega Genesis, with the original Sonic the Hedgehog games and many other games. Still hoping they make a new sonic game that rivals those gems <3
