As a Level 131 Buccaneer with not much funding, how could i make use of the Evolution Lab? (In terms of training and equips) Thanks

You don't get much in the way of equips drops, although you can use "cores" that (slightly) increase the drop rate of equip drops for specific classes.
Big Spider familiars also help a little.
More important is the EXP you can get by controlling the HP, level and number of the monsters.
You do that by adding cores to change things like how many monsters appear in the Evo lab (more monsters = more targets to kill), the level of the monsters (higher level monsters = more exp per kill) up to a max of Level 160, and increasing the monsters HP (more HP = more exp per kill).
You have to play around with the combinations to find a combination that you can survive without being overwhelmed by too many monsters, or too hard to kill.
Once you find a good combination, use it on a 2x Exp day with a 2x Exp coupon and watch your level increase like crazy.
