Garnet and Crystal Hearts

I'm considering getting either one of those recipes using the coins, but I'm wondering whether they require advanced or superior crystals to be made. I searched up the recipe on a couple of sites but they either had advanced or superior listed. If anyone can confirm which type of crystal is used it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks =]
