Who Remembers the Old Maple?
Ok, forget what i said before. i'mma put it in plain words lmao! Old Maple wasn't even half as good as every1 hypes it up to be. i am not reminiscing in fact i'm pretty sure i need to see a few psychiatrists to forget the pain of leveling a cleric/priest in the old days . . .b4 fourth job . . .when the word wizet made me think of struggle . . . . back in the day we complained about not having enough new content and how hard it was to level. now we complain about having too much useless Ish and it being too easy . . . .
aight . . .that's all i had to say . . i'm going back to Africa

Well I wasn't there right when it started ( started in 07), but I play for the gaming aspect, not the social, so the game has gotten better for me.
Yeah, those were the days C:, back when having the highest damage or the most money wasnt the first thing on people's minds but rather just to have fun with friends and play a game. But it did have problems... training was hell before the curves (took so long o.o), that and hackers were more abundant. I am glad though that they are bringing some of the old maps back though C:

I miss old maple quite a lot actually. I met some of the coolest people i've ever met over the internet, and was in love with this game for 2 years. Now it's just not the same, only 1/2nd gen people will understand, so i need not explain. If you are one, you know.
Never forget the first time i saw a party kill a crog on the boat to orbis. They were legends
I remember doing KPQ. Back then those slime shoes that the slime king dropped were super good. I remember we would always set a loot order to the shoes and everyone would always loot out of order. You would also have to send out scouts to check if there wasn't any other party waiting outside. Getting to second job took soo long :o
Maple has yet to sink low enough that some of the things you mentioned are missable.

As much as I missed Maple story as a kid, I would disagree and say that they would lose money. It's not even funny how much money they would lose with a move like that.

That shows how many people still to this day are in love with the old maple . Yeah, I understand you might not like it but no need trying to force it onto people because you can't change subjective feelings.

And the henesys maps that happened to be right outside Kerning.
Those had great background music.

I miss going to Heneys when i first started. It was the first real town you would go to, and it was always bustling with activity. The hunting grounds has level 200's that i had could look at with awe, and even though I'm a warrior, I still call it my hometown.
Well Nexon is giving us some, if not all of the maps that we all remember, but from how maple is now, it just wont be the same. The friends and the social aspect will never be comparable as it was back then. I find that maple today has given me a much more bigger insight on the game itself, but at the cost of my good friends and buddies, whereas back then, I was stuck at level 50 max, and yet maple was somehow fun to me. These days maple just feels alot more deserted, (maybe its because alot of people are a higher level now and Im a lazy piece of crap when it comes to training), but interaction between maplers that doesnt involve bossing, hacks, or the free market falls short in comparison to the way maplestory was many years ago.
@knito18 ummm people are people, the only way to get ripped off now is if you give a stranger you've never met in rl your stuff or nx scams . . . . back then b4 SoK's shoo zak helms were a 50/50 chance haha

I remember traininh at HHG1 on green mushrooms at like level 20, then making a bandit and ksing people on them, at only level 13... To this day I dont know how I managed it
at least nexon bring it back (temporary) the next patch

@above I'm sorry, but back then I remember waaaaay more scammers than there are now. Now the only scammers are the people who buy fame and nx and various other things. There were way more types of scammers back then. I still find the community now fine, you just have to meet the right people
i liked the old comunity it was more kind and trusting new every1s a scammer
