Pdr and insights ignore elemental resistance
Hello!
I was trying to calculate my pdr on my zero, and after scrolling through a bunch of forums/threads, I came across the formula 1-(1-a)(1-b)...(1-n)
However, the amount of pdr displayed in the UI in game does not accurately reflect the value that I found...
Here's what I have on alpha; 50% (skill passive), 30% (leafre), 30% (superior gollux), 10% (zero link skill), 20% (lumi link skill), 9% (ambition), 10%, 10%, 5%, 5% (CRA equips) and 7% (Magnificent murgoth)
This adds up to like 89.1% (estimated). However, the UI displays 91%.(Which is impossible to be from a small source, you need almost 20% more pdr to achieve this)
When i repeated this for beta I get 78.2% (also slightly rounded), but in game I get 81%.
Does the elemental ignore from insight stack additively to the defence ignore shown in the UI? (My insight level is 39, which is 1.5% elemental resistance ignore?)
Uhh... Not sure if i made any mistakes here but I really doubt I have any other sources of PDR.
(All the characters I have are zero, demon slayer, luminous, demon avenger, kanna and a xenon.)
Also, does this mean that getting the triple pirate set (8% PDR) and the lvl3 BT link (8% PDR) will net me 90.8% PDR? (Calculated)
Will this be added additively to the 1.5% elemental ignore? So i'll be at 93%?

Elemental ignore is 5% at lv 100, 4.5% at lv 90, 4% at lv 80, ... , 0.5% at lv 5.
Proof using damage over time because it is always max damage of your range.

Killer Wing does 90% dot damage
Expected dot damage vs no resistance: 210843 * 0.9 = 189758
Expected dot damage vs resistance: 210843 * 0.9 * 0.5 = 94879
Observed 95353 dot damage vs magical resistance
Observed 189758 dot damage vs magical resistance (100% ignored by elemental reset)
Observed 189758 dot damage vs no resistance
189758 * 0.5025 = 95353 which is the damage seen vs magical resistance

Lv 100 Insight, 5% ignore resistance (0.525 resistance multiplier, 5% of 50% is 2.5%)
Puncture 165% does dot damage
Expected dot damage vs no resistance: 12135 * 1.65 = 20022
Expected dot damage vs resistance: 12135 * 1.65 * 0.5 = 10011
Observed 10510 dot damage seen vs physical resistance
Observed 20022 dot damage seen vs no resistance monsters
20022 * 0.525 = 10510 which is the damage seen vs physical resistance

ohhh so thats why my pdr was 45% and then i had item with 30% pdr potential and i equpied it thinking my pdr will go to 75% f3...but it went to 60 or something

ele ignore is a separate variable doesnt contribute to pdr
I don't have any other sources of pdr, I do not have 3 pirates... I already accounted for the 10% in the zero link skill!
I'm just curious how the elemental ignore mechanics from insight works! (Because I am trying to hit 92-94% on a kaiser, which has less base pdr...)
you're missing something, perhaps 8% pdr from pirate card set, 10% from zero passive?
