Help please

So a few months ago my computer blew up, and I haven't played maple in 5 months. The semester is over, and needless to say I'm bored out of my mind. I have yet to buy a new computer cause I'm cheap like super jew cheap. Well anyways, I know nothing about computers and wanted to know if you guys think this computer has decent enough specs to play maple. I have $400 to spend on a computer and I could sell my chanel earrings on ebay and make a couple hundred more. or I could wait for my boyfriend to come back in town and have him bootcamp windows on his mac for me.

In your opinion... should I buy the cheap laptop, get more money and buy a better laptop, or just wait a week for my bf to come back and have him bootcamp windows?
please help i'm bored
So let me understand this, instead of trying to figure out what was wrong with your computer, you just sold it at the first sign of trouble?

No wonder you've gone through 5 computers.
well that computer i had actually fried the hard drive out once (some hackers would freeze my screen, and i couldn't control alt del. so i had no choice but to turn it off from the power button and i think that killed the hard drive since maple takes up so much cpu) and i had taken it to a shop where he said i needed a new hard drive, so i took the hard drive out of my ps3 and had him format it to my laptop which cost about $200. i didn't want to spend the money to try to get it fixed again cause I'm sure it would be more since i would have to buy a new hard drive. and theres a cheap comp for $250.
my 2002 desktop couldn't hold maple anymore so i gave it to my sister. my bf bought me a laptop a couple years ago, but got mad one night when i didn't get off maple and so he yanked it from the wall and threw it. i was like super maple addicted

No wonder you've gone through 5 computers. It probably would have cost less than 100 dollars to fix.
If you managed to get yourself a boyfriend, your anxiety's not as bad as you think it is. Still don't think it's worth spending all that money just to play Maplestory, even if you spent a mini-fortune on it. Eventually we'll let go of the game, along with all the virtual items we spent actual money on.

I say wait for your boyfriend to return. Bootcamp on the mac, and try the game out. If you don't find yourself bored within the first few days, then consider spending the money on a new computer (for when your bf goes away?).
thanks. its probably the most logical thing to do and cheapest. the waiting is the part thats killing me. i have absolutely nothing to do. I'm so bored. guess i'll go read

It has a good amount of memory and 2.17GHz is good enough to play maplestory with (my computer has runs 2.0GHz and maplestory runs perfectly fine).

Cheap laptops aren't worth it if you're going to be 'gaming'.
