Very definitely limitations.
Because credit transactions can be reversed (and Nexon has suffered a ton of fraud because of this), they limit the Cash items you can buy with NX credit.
I've never seen a good comprehensive list of exactly what's limited, and the items don't usually say anything on their descriptions, but if you buy NX on credit and try to buy something that's limited it won't let you complete the transaction in the Cash Shop.

On the other hand, NX Prepaid has no limitations, you can buy anything you want, and gift the items to other people.

I usually buy through Paypal with a credit card, but I keep a Prepaid balance usually just for those things I can't get with credit.
Depends. They send u a bunch of emails within a half hour timeframe. "We have received your order" "We have now begun shipping" "It is now on its way" "No we're not kidding..i swear to god its coming..." (last one is a joke). Sometimes its within 5 minutes. Sometimes the full half hour.

When the actual email comes with the code info, you get a link to a secure page to get the code. Which also needs to be loaded. Which also might take a while to load up depending on how well the site is doing. All in all, you'll have the code within half an hour to 2 hours (several more if site issues). That's from personal experience.
Credit saves you the embarrassment of going in a public store to buy karma koins

at the expense of the above two comments

There's a limit of how much credit you can get, and it can't be gifted. You can't buy certain things with credit either.
