Am sure it was right colors are Yellow,White and red
did you connect to the right parts
and if not there trying hold the power button for 5 secs maybe it would pop up
just like a ps3 would

Just get rid of it while you can! Fanboyism aside, all I can really think of is is your TV set on the right source (HDMI 1, HDMI 2)?
